Pinewood Manor Pinewood aims to provide its Service Users with a secure, relaxed, and homely environment in which their care, well being and comfort are of prime importance.

Our staff will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity individuality and privacy of all Service Users within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in so doing will be sensitive to the Service Users ever-changing needs. Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social, and Service Users are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Care Plans in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate if the service user consents.

All care staff at Pinewood Manor are properly qualified to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff-training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained inline with the latest developments in Care Practice Guidelines and Regulations.

Pinewood Manor is set in ample gardens and woodland with private access into the famous Ashdown Forest. The gardens are alive with colour from year round planting and specimen trees and bushes.

We make good use of the grounds as well, we have outdoor lunches and afternoon teas and many of our residents like to enjoy the solitude of an evening stroll around the grounds, listening to the bird song and peace of the day. Weather permitting we try to have occasional garden parties.

Daytime activities are as diverse as bingo, card schools, sins-a-longs and handicrafts, there is no need for anyone to be bored or lonely at Pinewood Manor.

Hairdressing is offered on a weekly basis and is not included in the cost of care.

Newspapers and magazines other than those provided by Pinewood Manor may be ordered and delivered. Again this facility is not included in the cost of care.

Doctor - if the resident's own GP is unable to continue to maintain his/her service following entry to The Home, a local doctor will be sought and provided.

Optician/Dentist - by arrangement and not included in the cost of care.
Chiropody - may be provided via the NHS following an assessment by our visiting chiropodist.

Laundry is dealt with on the premises and is included in our fees
